Portland Oregon, Autumn, Mt Tabor Engagement Session - a Quick Sneak Peek!

Image
Meet Laura and Craig and their doggie! Laura is a professional musician and one of the sweetest people we've met. Together, they make a cute little family of three and we could not be more excited to be the ones to photograph their wedding day, next summer! They will marry at the beautiful Gorge Crest Vineyard in August. This past weekend, we met up for a morning engagement shoot at one of their favorite parks in Portland Oregon: Mt Tabor ! It's where 3 of the city's drinking water reservoirs are and where people gather to enjoy nature and views of downtown, while immersed in tall, old-growth trees. This was a great time to visit the park! It turns out that the leaves were turning red as the grasses were as brightly green as they could be. Loved it!

A sweet and colorful Abernethy Center (Abigail's Garden) wedding.

Image
Portland's Abernethy Center's Abigail Garden is filled with beautiful light, at sunset. Candice and Narayan's wedding was bright and colorful, in part thanks to her bubbly personality and creativity! We loved the colors used in her wedding and we thank  +Luxe Event Production  ( Luxe Event Productions ) for the coordination and design. Reverend +Steve Sharp  (with A Beautiful Ceremony NW ) did a great job directing Candice and Narayan's ceremony (plus... he's such a great guy!) aaaand  Simply Sweets really did a beautiful job on the wedding cake, wow! Take a look at their wedding sneak peek here. Hula-Hoops and all! :) OH! PS: gorgeous make up on all the ladies by  +Bri Ellis  ( Portland Make-Up and Hair ) :) ** Friends and Family: click on their private gallery link here:  http://pictage.com/1291166  so that you can see all of their photos once they are ready! Thank you! **

Skamania Lodge wedding day of Emily and Joel!

Image
This was our very last wedding of our very long 2012 season! Meeting Emily and Joel one year ago, really opened us up to what was sure to be one fun party. Sure enough, it was! I tried to summarize the day with the handful of images below... WHEW! See Mother Of The Groom doing some air-guitar with Joel. See also, everyone doing the Gangnam Style thing that's so huge right now. See Joel and his close dude-friends screaming to a tune while holding a very cooperative little flower girl... aaaahhh yes. This was one epic wedding party! :D Skamania Lodge is one of our favorite venues to date. I used to live in Stevenson WA, so getting back there for a wedding was like going home. The weather pretty much cooperated too! There were bursts of rain here and there (it WAS november 3rd after all!) but for the most part, there were gorgeous clouds and no rain. We had a blast!  The two of them are loving, surrounded by close family and friends and just simply wonderful people. ...

Sauvie Island adventure with Cindra & Justin : Portland Engagement Session

Image
Another gorgeous day has come and gone. This past Sunday was sunny, warm and beautiful. It was Cindra & Justin's turn to be photographed for their engagement session! She chose Sauvie Island as a backdrop and we decided to get there a little before sunset. It was glorious! Lot's of laughs, stories shared and trees climbed ;) They are to be married this coming August 2012 after a looooong time together, and we couldn't be happier for the two of them! Here is a quick sneak peek of their session <3

Cornelius Pass Roadhouse | Portland Wedding Photography

Image
If you are curious to see a visual representation of the transition from calmness to PARTY, scroll down ;) Jessica & Joe were a BLAST to photograph. Their wedding was at the iconic Cornelius Pass Roadhouse , east of Portland. The day started off with a very laid-back group of ladies and gents, getting ready and putting on the finishing touches with the decor. Then came the ceremony which was short and sweet. Then came the BIG group photo of all 200+ guests attending. Then dinner. Then... Dj Moe Funk TURNED IT UP and everyone (I mean EVERYONE) went right to the dance floor and stayed there all night long! This was one of the rowdiest groups of people we have every had the pleasure of photographing and we had a BLAST! - How many times can I use the word "blast"? ;) Here is a detailed sneak peek of the wedding day <3

Luxe Bridal Event - 3.8.12 - Portland Bridal Show!

Image
FLOWERS GALORE! Misty and her team at Luxe Event Productions never cease to amaze me. Their Luxe Bridal Event earlier this month (at the Tiffany Center in NW Portland) was yet another fabulous, vibrant and fun event. Many local wedding vendors exhibited their talents for many brides to see. It was a packed event, with music, great energy and laughs. The main presentation to the public was an extensive collection of GORGEOUS handmade floral arrangements. 50 different bouquets were strewn throughout the floor and we had the honor of photographing each and every one of them. The floral inspiration at this show was high and we loved it! Be sure to visit the Luxe Bridal Event's site for a full list of all of the vendors involved. Lot's of information there! Here are collages I have created of SOME OF the gorgeous floral arrangements from the show... there are many more and they will also be posted here soon. Thank you SO much to all of the florists who participated! <3 ...

Swinging in her wedding dress... love it!

Image
Just a quick single image. Simply because it's a beautiful sunny summer day AND my bride is having loads of fun on the swing! :) This was taken in August of 2011 at Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast and it was a glorious day!

MarryMe! wedding show was a huge success!

Image
Misty and Greg of Luxe Event Productions put together yet another uber-successful wedding show. They are so organized and well respected in this industry and we are so happy to be a part of their vision. They invited us to be their sponsor photographers and we loved the assignment. Josh and I spent 4 hours walking around the wedding show, taking photos of the couples visiting, interacting with the vendors as well, and details of the maaaaany cakes and the rest! Truly a great show. Here are a handful of the 400ish images of the day as well as links to all of the sponsor vendors involved. A fabulous group of people for sure! Click on MarryMe!'s link at the bottom too, there is plenty more info on there :) VENDORS! Be sure to click on this link (then click on the 3rd thumbnail down on the left) to see the images we took and to download the files for your own personal web use. It was a pleasure photographing you! <3

I wonder how many of you have / are about to / will propose and get engaged during the holidays!

Image
'tis the season! This is the time for a little extra time with family and close friends (you've reunited for the Holidays! Make the most of it!). This is the time to ponder about the past year's hard work and happenings (we know we've had many "firsts" that we will always cherish!). This is the time for many of you to pop-the-question and start planning for a wonderful wedding celebration.  Josh and I, here at MoscaPhoto, wish you HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a CONGRATULATIONS shout-out too ;) We're excited to hear from you in the coming weeks as the New Year rolls in and plans are made.  Boy!! We WISH we could be there to photograph, capture and witness your proposal and the reaction! It's a priceless time, as many other milestones in life are. Plan it well and enjoy yourselves! Love and Hugs to You from Us! ~ Alice (& Josh) :)

A handful of wonderful Portland Wedding Vendors who we are thankful for!

Image
In no particular order, we have had the opportunity to work with each and every one of these fabulous vendors. This year has been amazing and we got to work alongside many of them more than once (we can't wait for more opportunities!). I know I will post this and then remember more vendors... I just know it! So forgive me in advance for appearing as if i've neglected you... it's not my intention! I'll be updating this multiple times, I know it! ;) Knowing who to choose as your vendors for your wedding (or other event) is important. All we can do is suggest those people who we know and love, personally. Use us as a reliable and non-biased reference; we will suggest who we know will help make your day perfect! The rest will be up to you ;) THANK YOU to all of the following vendors for being in MoscaPhoto's life! Happy Turkey Day 2011! (click on MORE to see the links and photos!)

What we are thankful for is YOU!

Image
Josh and I could not possibly be where we are today if it weren't for MANY aspects of life (in no particular order): - YOU our client friends - YOU our wedding vendor peers - YOU our personal friends - YOU mom and dad Let me break it down even further... ;) This 2011 wedding season has been the best yet. We keep getting more and more requests for photo shoots; collaboration inspiration ones with peers, as well as true client ones. Not only that, this 2011 wedding season has been an even better commercial photography (mostly restaurant related) year AND a great personal and work travel year as well. OH! I can't forget to mention the fact that this 2011 year has also been the year during which we were: - voted by YOU to be runner up, Best Wedding Photographers in Portland via Oregon Bride Magazine (number 2 never felt so good!) ;) - voted by 20 photography peers to be a part of My Portland Photographer which is a selective and successful group of 20...

Storm clouds & love at this October vineyard wedding.

Image
Meet Jessica and Stephen . The married yesterday (October 1st 2011) at Gorge Crest Winery , in Underwood WA. Usually, when we photograph here, the view is what we expect... Mt Hood and the valleys and hills in between, in all their glory. Not yesterday! Yesterday was a cloudy day, threatening to rain, dark and gloomy. As promised, however, MoscaPhoto 's positive vibes made it so that the clouds became dramatic, intense, layered, colorful and intermingled with some blue sky here and there. That's right! The rains were falling all around us, yet, we never got wet. It was amazing. Even without Mt Hood in the distance, the views were powerful and the photos are here to prove it. This is just a sneak peek with more to some shortly! ;) Photographers: Alice & Josh of MoscaPhoto.com Planner: Your Perfect Bridesmaid Wedding dress: Bridal Exclusives Bouquet and boutonieres: Lucy's Informal Flowers Table flowers: hand picked by Jessica and friends at The White House in Ho...
