Latourell Falls engagement session in the Columbia Gorge

Image
Emily & Jon (and Leo-dog) are two outdoorsy people (and dog)! ;) They hike and explore nature as much as they possibly can, so it was only obvious for them to pick this beautiful location for their engagement session.  Latourell Falls in the Columbia Gorge  is one of those places that leave a visitor in awe. It's right off of Historic Hwy 30 (after a little bit of a hike) and well work the time to get there! We wish we had had more time to stay in the Gorge for more exploring... can't wait to get back out there! These are just a handful of the fun we had on their engagement session and we can't wait to see them again on their actual wedding day this July at  Gorge Crest Vineyard !  ** Friends and family: you can easily see their engagement photos and then their wedding photos too, on their private online gallery here:  http://pictage.com/1386945  Register with an email address and password to access it all and thanks! **

Stephanie & Philip (& Max-dog): engagement session with Mt Hood Views

Image
Steph and Phil and Max reeeeeally wanted views of Mt Hood for their wedding. What "won" was being right in downtown Portland though, so it was only natural for us to get out of the city for their engagement session. They were able to get Mt Hood views alright! ;) This was a couple of fridays ago, it was a beautiful summer day and we met up in the evening near Gorge Crest Vineyard. The view was incredible and Max was a blast to photograph too, what a sweet doggie! He had a few garbs to wear, just like mom ;) This is just a taste of the whole shoot and we are also so excited about THEIR wedding day in the summer fo 2013!

Gorge Crest wedding of Andrea & Pete.

Another great wedding day at Gorge Crest ! By now you may know that this is one of our most favorite venues in this area. We feel so at home when we photograph there... we love it! Andrea & Pete had a beautiful day there, despite the unfortunate wildfires at the base of Mt Hood. The thick smoke covered the majestic views all day, but dissipated at the very end of the night. Regardless, Gorge Crest has amazing little areas for fun photos AND all of the guests had a blast. Here is a sneak peek of the day with a list of the vendors involved, with more coming soon, as the information comes in. For the most part, however, Andrea and Pete were able to either DIY things for themselves or have close friends help out with planning and execution. What a great group of people this was! Birdcage veil, suspenders and a beautiful summer day at Gorge Crest Vineyards.

Another absolutely awesome wedding day. WOW! Lea and Clark are super cute and super fun. We got to know each other on their engagement session near sunset, on a gorgeous sunny winter day, in Cannon Beach a few months ago ( here it is ). Ever since then, we've gotten to know each other even more via facebook and emails and... BAM! Their wedding came and went. Time FLIES! LOTS of details in this wedding! And everything was made by hand by Lea herself! A truly DIY bride. She made her birdcage veil, the feathery hair piece (which was her grandmother's brooch), the invitations, the table place cards, the ring pillow, bow ties... everything! Amazing! Clark is super creative too. He broke out his twelve-string guitar in the middle of the reception and played an elaborate and beautiful song for all to enjoy. I even recorded it on video! :) The song was "Oceans" and it's from John Butler Trio. Beautiful! OK OK! i better start posting some photos! Here is a list of the...
