A wholehearted and fun engagement session on the Oregon coast.

Once again, Josh and I spent most of this past Sunday hanging out and photographing and getting to know one of our summer 2011 couples. Lea & Clark are SO sweet and funny and totally in love! They will be getting married at one of our ultimate favorite wedding venues in the area ( Gorge Crest ) on August 6th . They day cannot possibly come soon enough! We hit it off completely AND were incredibly lucky to have finally chosen a date for this shoot that had nothing but sunshine and gorgeous fluffy clouds... aaaahhh... the power of being able to wait for just the right day for a shoot! :) We met up in Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast , right by the famous  Haystack Rock . We had some fun on the sand and near the water for a bit; then decided to get in the actual town, to take advantage of the beach architecture. Cannon Beach is such a cute and quaint little town, love it there! We knew when the sunset was to happen, so after hanging around town, we drove out to the gorge...

{Travel} Oregon Coast Sunset...

Josh and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and peaceful and enjoyable two days at the coast. It was a very welcome 2-night stay at the YURT in one of our favorite and super convenient places on the coast, close to Portland: Nehalem Bay State Park. We arrived the evening of Monday October 18th 2010, set up camp in the YURT, cracked open a bottle of wine and walked to the water, knowing full well that the sun was about to set and that we would be cuddled up on the sand quietly relaxing watching nature's show. Little did we know that the sunset was going to be THIS gorgeous!  There were maybe 6 other people and their dogs within a two0mile stretch of beach.  It was quiet, slightly breezy and the more the sun set, the more kaleidoscopic the colors in the sky became. Even if Josh and I intended to be there to take a much needed break from photography, we couldn't help ourselves to take our camera with us and to photograph the beauty around us....
