Wedding bouquets are all beautiful! They reflect the bride's mood, style and personality. Florals are subjective and, while each year seems to see trends, they are all somewhat different. We love to photograph them! They are part of the whole adventure in wedding planning, and in the end, they complete a bride's attire. MoscaPhoto exhibited at the 2012 NW Wedding Scoop at the Governor Hotel downtown, on both March 10th and 11th. The hotel was filled with great inspiration. I was a Platinum Sponsor for the show, meaning I was invited to speak at a VIP luncheon, on stage, to educate brides and family about the art of wedding photography. Not only that, I was also part of two Photography/Videography panels that was interactive and informative. I loved speaking in public, especially since I am an expert in the wedding photography field. Lots of great information was shared and I can't to have the opportunity to talk again! ;) These are some of the images I took of the second day of the show. FLOWERS GALORE! Misty and her team at Luxe Event Productions never cease to amaze me. Their Luxe Bridal Event earlier this month (at the Tiffany Center in NW Portland) was yet another fabulous, vibrant and fun event. Many local wedding vendors exhibited their talents for many brides to see. It was a packed event, with music, great energy and laughs. The main presentation to the public was an extensive collection of GORGEOUS handmade floral arrangements. 50 different bouquets were strewn throughout the floor and we had the honor of photographing each and every one of them. Come one, come all! Last year, this event was AMAZING! Such great talent here in Portland, in the wedding industry. We had a blast! We were invited to participate in and photograph this fun night of dining and dancing by the fabulous ladies of Muse Event Planning. Misty and Greg of Luxe Event Productions put together yet another uber-successful wedding show. They are so organized and well respected in this industry and we are so happy to be a part of their vision. They invited us to be their sponsor photographers and we loved the assignment. We make a post like this one every year, at the end of the year. We love to photograph every aspect of a wedding day, including the details that make each event as unique as you are! Flower arrangements are part of the colorful decor that a couple take time in choosing... we realize how personal each flower decision is, so we love to share our past couples' ideas with you in hopes to help you choose your own ;) We have had the pleasure of working alongside several talented florists who have nothing but satisfied and inspired our couples and us. 'tis the season! This is the time for a little extra time with family and close friends (you've reunited for the Holidays! Make the most of it!). This is the time to ponder about the past year's hard work and happenings (we know we've had many "firsts" that we will always cherish!). What a great surprise to wake up to today! Style Me Pretty  (click it! :) has featured our styled shoot of Sam, a REAL bride who was styled and art directed by Misty of Luxe Event Productions, photographed by me of Mosca Photo and filmed by Karyn of Black Label Films. Another fantastic Bridal Show / Wedding Show presented by Luxe Event Productions in collaboration with a select group of vendor sponsors (us of MoscaPhoto included!) and, of course, all of the rest of the vendors who participated as exhibitors. Committed was amazing. I even personally went "crazy" and asked my friend Jessica (a fabulous make up artist here in Portland!) do doll me up with her magic touch... thank you Jessica! The date was this past Friday, October 21st, 2011 and it was at the Ambridge Event Center on MLK Boulevard, just North of the Oregon Convention Center. 700 guests walked through the doors between 5 and 9pm and it absolutely felt packed and loud, while organized and fun! There was friendliness, humor, professionalism and cooperation and definitely LOTS of love in the air. 'Tis the season (the beginning of it, anyway) for professionals in the wedding industry to come up with and organize and collaborate on inspiration shoots. These sessions are planned out to the T and are a huge deal! Many wedding vendors get together to make it happen, all for the benefit of future brides who might be looking for ideas for their own wedding. This past Friday September 16th, an amazing group of said vendors got together to make the first of several inspiration shoots come alive. This was simply a fabulous day. Samantha married her husband soon after I photographed her for this shoot. A handful of amazing local vendors got together to immortalize Sam for a sort of pre-wedding bridal portrait session. The weather was amazing and she looked stunning! We are heading off to another wedding today! This afternoon was a nice, mild, evenly lit day. Perfect for our Real Bridal Portrait Photoshoot with Samantha ! She is a Real Bride , who will be married later on in June. The wedding dress she chose to wear on her wedding day, is a different style from the one wore during the shoot today. She wanted the look and feel of her Bridal Portraits to be more on the Country-Chic side of things. All we can way is: WOW . What an amazing time Josh and I had at this wedding show... We had the pleasure of hanging out with friends in the wedding industry, meet new fabulous ones, talk with newly engaged brides and photograph the goodness that was set up all around us! Misty and Ashley of Luxe Event Productions organized this magical show and it will become a favorite, once-a-year event, with lots of success.
