We have so many fun and loving photos of Amy and Danielle , it't not even funny! ;) Starting off the photoshoot inside of a portland iconic place called Powells City of Books was Amy's idea and we JUMPED on it when she suggested it! The rows of books, the tall ceilings and the dim, warm light all around us, made for a great place to shoot. We had a blast in there! It was a Sunday, however, so we decided to quickly get out before disturbing the natural flow of regular visitors... then, we stepped outside into The Pearl .  Walking around the neighborhood, stopping whenever we saw something that inspired us, sharing stories along the way... was truly priceless. Unfortunately, it started raining pretty heavily, so we decided to stop by the Pearl Bakery for a latte and a bloddy mary. Yep! It was

It's a little bit of an extra step courtesy of Facebook ;) Thank you!!} Amy and Ryan are two peas in a pod. He is high ranking in the Army while she has had to live with the fact that he gets shipped overseas on a moment's notice. In fact, he has been called once again to Afganistan a little under one month from their wedding day. So, their wedding day, this past Saturday March 26th 2011 , was even more touching than usual. They were surrounded by friends and family, lots of whimsical fairytale details and high emotions. The Crown Ballroom made their day perfect with all of its decor and elegance. Geranium Lake Flowers did a beautiful job with Amy's bouquet. Amy's elf ears and fairy wings added a spark of "her" to the whole day. All in all, there were tears of joy, great dancing and singing, and lots of love. It was obvious to us that their day was go

Beautiful spring-day engagement session!

We were so lucky today! The weather has been gloomy and rainy, but we have managed to pick the right days for our couples... WHEW! :) Today was one such perfect day! We met up with Heidi & Marty (and Heidi's mom!) at the entrance to Sauvie Island . We purchased our day-passes to visit the island and set off for the shoot. We reached the park and immediately the clouds parted just enough to offer us an ultimate sunlight diffuser :) Even light, warmish temperatures, a great setting and a super sweet couple, to boot! Here are a few images for you to enjoy, with more to come. We can't wait for their wedding this coming July 30th 2011!

Amy & Danielle. A Portland love story.

This is just a quick little sneak peek! Many more images from their fun engagement session shoot coming later on today :) We decided to meet up at Powell's Books here in Portland and then to walk around the Pearl District, all the way to the bright red and beautiful Broadway Bridge. Well... rain stopped us in our tracks as we were inching our way to the top of the bridge. So close! So we ended up having a Bloody Mary and a cappuccino at the Pearl Bakery before calling it a day. Awesome! hehe :) More details and more images coming soon!

SSHHH... a little secret is about to be revealed ;)

All we can way is: WOW . What an amazing time Josh and I had at this wedding show... We had the pleasure of hanging out with friends in the wedding industry, meet new fabulous ones, talk with newly engaged brides and photograph the goodness that was set up all around us! Misty and Ashley of Luxe Event Productions organized this magical show and it will become a favorite, once-a-year event, with lots of success. It was such a hit, that I KNOW people are already planning on visiting next year! :) I will let the photos speak for themselves, so I won't "bother" you with many more words :) Below the images you'll see many relevant links associated with the show (in no particular order - the list if partial, so be sure to visit Luxe's official site for more!). Please be sure to bookmark them and to see what they are all about, 'cause there is an AWESOME family of wedding vendors here in Portland that will be sure to make your wedding day a great suc

A wholehearted and fun engagement session on the Oregon coast.

Once again, Josh and I spent most of this past Sunday hanging out and photographing and getting to know one of our summer 2011 couples. Lea & Clark are SO sweet and funny and totally in love! They will be getting married at one of our ultimate favorite wedding venues in the area ( Gorge Crest ) on August 6th . They day cannot possibly come soon enough! We hit it off completely AND were incredibly lucky to have finally chosen a date for this shoot that had nothing but sunshine and gorgeous fluffy clouds... aaaahhh... the power of being able to wait for just the right day for a shoot! :) We met up in Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast , right by the famous  Haystack Rock . We had some fun on the sand and near the water for a bit; then decided to get in the actual town, to take advantage of the beach architecture. Cannon Beach is such a cute and quaint little town, love it there! We knew when the sunset was to happen, so after hanging around town, we drove out to the gorgeous Ecola
