This past Friday March 4th 2011, I (Alice) had the opportunity to second shoot for an old friend of mine, who owns Sikora Photography . He called me a week or so ago to ask if I could help him out at this wedding at the historic and beautiful Timberline Lodge , at the base of Mt Hood... and I was thrilled! Not only did I get to be a second shooter (the behind-the-scenes shooter's role that is always Josh with MoscaPhoto :) I was also given the opportunity to have some fun with photos in the snow! Cassie and Mike were troopers! The snow started falling, yet they still wanted to be outside for their portraits. She looked stunning and playful in her dress and heels on the fluffy white snow. What a beautifully dreamy place to get married in the winter!

Hi everyone! Josh and I have been absent in the Blog-World... we know and apologize for it! ;) We have, however, been constantly updating our Facebook Page and hope that you were able to see the updates and progress of our road trip to Las Vegas as it was happening! Well, another amazing trip to the SW has come and gone. Josh and I visit the annual, giant, photography conference in Las Vegas ( WPPI ) every single year. Every year, it happens right around the end of February/beginning of March. Last year, we flew down for three days. This year, we decided to drive down! Portland , through back-country SE Oregon , through back-country Nevada , to Las Vegas . Then on our way back, we decided to take a little "detour" to the amazing Grand Canyon , in Arizona. I know... not a "detour" per se, sine it was about 300 miles in the opposite direction ;) It was worth the extra two days on the road... let me tell you! Be courteous to one another. Love who you are with. Respect those who share your life. Remind them how much they mean to you. Smile at the future you have planned together. Relive your happy memories. Decide on new ones. But most of all, cherish one another, always. Welcome to another MoscaPhoto -style, extreme, engagement session sneak peek. ;) We LOVE our job. Its not a job at all, actually. It's a passion that we happen to do for a living. We get to meet incredible people with amazing stories. Amy and Ryan are two such people. We are HONORED to have had the clearance and opportunity to visit Ft Lewis Army Base near Olympia Washington. The hangar and the Black Hawk made available to us for part 1 of the photo shoot, was amazing to see and "play" in and around. WOW. Part 2 was more of the "her" part of things ;) Amy is a lover of whimsical places, fables and fantasy. As is Ryan, of course! But this part 2 was ALL Amy! The location was a natural preserve south east of Olympia WAshington called Mima Mounds . It is an incredible place, with unique geological features and the most perfect light for photography. What a cool place! One Josh and I would have never gone to see if it weren't for Amy's suggestion...
