Portland's Abernethy Center's Abigail Garden is filled with beautiful light, at sunset. Candice and Narayan's wedding was bright and colorful, in part thanks to her bubbly personality and creativity! We loved the colors used in her wedding and we thank  +Luxe Event Production  ( Luxe Event Productions ) for the coordination and design. Reverend +Steve Sharp  (with A Beautiful Ceremony NW ) did a great job directing Candice and Narayan's ceremony (plus... he's such a great guy!) aaaand  Simply Sweets really did a beautiful job on the wedding cake, wow! We had a very hard time picking a only a few images from their wedding day! The whole day was such a blast! It was a beautiful, sunny, fun, colorful and moving... we loved every minute of it, partly because we love Lauren & Tolga so much. We really bonded with them throughout the months) over a year I think!) of our relationship. We're sad that they have already moved to the East Coast so soon! The story of Meagan and Adam begins like this: It was a dark and stormy night… …The Portland Timbers were in a match on the field. Two people saw each other cheering in the Timbers Army section of the stadium. The Timbers won the match aaaand a it was love at first sight! The day was July 13th 2013 and it’s a day we will not forget… it was SO FUN! It was filled with yellow and green (the colors of the Timbers). It was in one of the most beautiful places in Oregon ( Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, OR ) AND it was a gorgeous sunny day filled with beautiful and happy people. Plus, Josh and I got to stay overnight on Friday night and Saturday night, in a spacious home that Meagan and Adam graciously rented for us. What a great weekend that one was! Once again, Gorge Crest Vineyard did not disappoint. NOR did our beautiful couple, Tawny & Mike! They married there on 7.6.13 and it was glorious. The weather was a little on the hot side (it's July after all ;) but we adjusted our shooting schedule a bit, to make sure no one would be forced to be in the sun for more that a few minutes at a time. We love Gorge Crest and are so familiar with it... so much so that we are confident with being able to fit every part of a couple's wedding photography, without rushing nor stressing the couple with  having to do things at specific times. We had a GREAT time with Tawny and Mike and so did they! Especially during the party time with our FAVORITE DJ in the area ( DJ Dan Moe! ). Meet Holly and Sean. They married in a sweet and simple little elopement in June, surrounded by a handful of their closest friends and family. We're SO excited to see them again, with a bigger group of friends, for their official reception party, in August! Char and Eric are FUN! We met up with them on Lewis and Clark College campus, where they met and went to school. The campus grounds are GORGEOUS! The old mansion is like stepping into the Old World with formal gardens and fountains and pools and old, mature greenery... perfectly manicured. We had a great time meeting them one early morning. They light was perfect and so was the weather: no rain and perfect temperatures (unheard of for springtime in Portland) ;) Here is their sneak peek. We are so excited for their wedding! Emily & Jon (and Leo-dog) are two outdoorsy people (and dog)! ;) They hike and explore nature as much as they possibly can, so it was only obvious for them to pick this beautiful location for their engagement session.  Latourell Falls in the Columbia Gorge  is one of those places that leave a visitor in awe. It's right off of Historic Hwy 30 (after a little bit of a hike) and well work the time to get there! We wish we had had more time to stay in the Gorge for more exploring... can't wait to get back out there!
