Almost one decade away from any place, makes it for a very exciting and emotional time. Many things have changed in nine years, while traditions and foods and the beauty that is Italy, remained the same. I visited with all of my family members, had an amazing time around the region of Umbria (where my parents live and where I had never been) and loved revisiting my city (Rome) and my town (Bracciano). My absence from the MoscaPhoto blogging world is justified, I promise. I had the opportunity to visit my country (Italy) this past May 14th to 25th 2012, after nine long years of absence. Almost one decade away from any place, makes it for a very exciting and emotional time. Many things have changed in nine years, while traditions and foods and the beauty that is Italy, remained the same. Another gorgeous day has come and gone. This past Sunday was sunny, warm and beautiful. It was Cindra & Justin's turn to be photographed for their engagement session! She chose Sauvie Island as a backdrop and we decided to get there a little before sunset. It was glorious! Lot's of laughs, stories shared and trees climbed ;) They are to be married this coming August 2012 after a looooong time together, and we couldn't be happier for the two of them! We can't possibly be more excited about our friends, when they decide to tie the knot. Krystal & Nate will be married in Hawaii this coming October 2012 and we will be there to photograph them, as they officially say "I Do" to one another. This past week, we travelled to Hawaii and while there, we photographed them for their engagement session. It was an amazing time! The sunsets on the North Shore were gorgeous and the busy city life in Waikiki for part two of the shoot, was equally as exciting. Both are very different locations, but the two of them kept showing their love for one another and we were so incredibly happy to be there with and for them! Here is a sneak peek of their sessions. We played around on Sunset Beach on North Shore in Oahu and then on the lava between Sunset Beach and Shark's Cove. Their wedding was at the iconic Cornelius Pass Roadhouse , east of Portland. The day started off with a very laid-back group of ladies and gents, getting ready and putting on the finishing touches with the decor. Then came the ceremony which was short and sweet. Then came the BIG group photo of all 200+ guests attending. Then dinner. Then... Dj Moe Funk TURNED IT UP and everyone (I mean EVERYONE) went right to the dance floor and stayed there all night long! This was one of the rowdiest groups of people we have every had the pleasure of photographing and we had a BLAST! - How many times can I use the word "blast"? ;) Here is a detailed sneak peek of the wedding day <3

Emily & Joel aren't going to be officially married until November 3rd of 2012... We were so glad to have had this early of an engagement session opportunity with them! We were able to pick a gorgeous spring day and had a blast getting to know them. We laughed, explored Krueger's Farm on Sauvie Island and played around with the beautiful puffy-cloud-sky that we were so lucky to get. A beautiful day and an equally beautiful couple! We can't wait for their wedding day at Skamania Lodge !

Meet Keri & Tucker. They are two beautiful people who met up with us yesterday for their engagement session. Following our suggestions, they dressed perfectly! Not only that, they are super sweet and always smiling. It was a challenge for us to find secluded areas at Portland's Waterfront on a (rare!) bright and sunny Portland saturday... but we were certainly aided by the fact that they are so loving towards one another and willing to follow us from place to place. It was a very very very fun time and we can't wait for their August wedding at the gorgeous King Estate ! Here are a few of the images taken with so many more to come! <3
