Around downtown Portland on Xmas 2010.

Image
Love this city. Josh and I decided to walk around what we expected to be a deserted city, on this 2010 Christmas Day. There were indeed some people with our same idea, but for the most part, plenty of parking and hardly anyone around. It wasn't raining either, so we were able to take some snapshots of the holiday decor and some of the details of the gorgeous buildings. Oh! And we also found a "totally Portland" Christmas related wall art. I think you'll know which one it is out of this collection, once you see it! LOLz :) Happy Holidays!

"Swamp The Dress" session in the swamps on Louisiana!

Image
That's right! Only open to 10 people, as per airboat capacity. I was lucky enough to be one of those 10. What an amazing experience! Surrounded by the beauty that is the swampy area of louisiana, just outside of New Orleans. Also surrounded by amazing photographers who took on the bride by storm! :) The model (bride) is our friend and fellow photographer from Atlanta, Shari Zellers. She married the love of her life last month and volunteered to "Trash The Dress" ("Swamp The Dress" - as all of us are calling it) for the entertainment of all of us. We had such a great time! The other amazing photographers who were involved were all friends of ours, part of our amazing Pictage family. Some of us had never met in person before, though we had been talking and collaborating online for many years. Photography conferences like PartnerCon are amazing opportunities to get to know other fellow photographers in person and to shoot alongside them and to partic...

{Travel} Oregon Coast Sunset...

Image
Josh and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and peaceful and enjoyable two days at the coast. It was a very welcome 2-night stay at the YURT in one of our favorite and super convenient places on the coast, close to Portland: Nehalem Bay State Park. We arrived the evening of Monday October 18th 2010, set up camp in the YURT, cracked open a bottle of wine and walked to the water, knowing full well that the sun was about to set and that we would be cuddled up on the sand quietly relaxing watching nature's show. Little did we know that the sunset was going to be THIS gorgeous!  There were maybe 6 other people and their dogs within a two0mile stretch of beach.  It was quiet, slightly breezy and the more the sun set, the more kaleidoscopic the colors in the sky became. Even if Josh and I intended to be there to take a much needed break from photography, we couldn't help ourselves to take our camera with us and to photograph the beauty around us....

{Concert!} The Black Keys @ The Crystal Ballroom - 8.5.10

Image
Hi everyone! As our Wedding 2010 season winds down -- no more weddings shoots, just editing  and finishing up album designs :) -- we are getting back in to our Concert Photography shoots. This is exciting, since we love music and great shows tend to come to Portland during the fall/winter months. We have a separate web site for all of our concert photography, ranging from great local bands to major label  artists. Be sure to bookmark that site and to check it often! Lots of new goodies to look through, on an ongoing basis :) This past October 5th , I had the opportunity to photograph The Black Keys , on their second night, at the Crystal Ballroom . What an amazing show! Full house (sold out both nights) and great lighting on stage, as always. I was granted a photo pass while my friend Carrie has the press pass, with which she got to enjoy the show and then write about it on our affiliate web site: Melophobe . Here is a Sneak Peek of the show. Here are links to the full...

Engagement session at the top of Silver Star Mountain! Grasses, Wildflowers and Bright Blue Skies.

What can we possibly say about our gorgeous Summer 2011 couple, Sara & Dane ?  How about the fact that they are beautiful, they are adorable , they are adventurous , kind, fun and loving ... We are SO lucky to have them be a part of the ever-growing MoscaPhoto family! We met up with Sara and Dane in Camas (WA). We packed our gear in their car and headed out for the 1 and a half hour drive through the mountains, on dirt roads, while bonding even more! Jokes, stories, laughs... so fun! Then we reached the trailhead. 2 or 3 hours later, we had practically hiked that entire mountain top, stopping everywhere we could, to take photos of the two of them, in this amazing middle-of-nowhere wilderness.  Silver Star Mountain  (click to view our map!) is north of Camas, Washington and its the location where Sara and Dane had their first ever date !  What a special place it is to them, what a gorgeous place it is for photographs and what an unforge...
