Josh and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and peaceful and enjoyable two days at the coast. It was a very welcome 2-night stay at the YURT in one of our favorite and super convenient places on the coast, close to Portland: Nehalem Bay State Park. We arrived the evening of Monday October 18th 2010, set up camp in the YURT, cracked open a bottle of wine and walked to the water, knowing full well that the sun was about to set and that we would be cuddled up on the sand quietly relaxing watching nature's show. Little did we know that the sunset was going to be THIS gorgeous!  There were maybe 6 other people and their dogs within a two0mile stretch of beach.  It was quiet, slightly breezy and the more the sun set, the more kaleidoscopic the colors in the sky became. Even if Josh and I intended to be there to take a much needed break from photography, we couldn't help ourselves to take our camera with us and to photograph the beauty around us....

Hi everyone! As our Wedding 2010 season winds down -- no more weddings shoots, just editing  and finishing up album designs :) -- we are getting back in to our Concert Photography shoots. This is exciting, since we love music and great shows tend to come to Portland during the fall/winter months. We have a separate web site for all of our concert photography, ranging from great local bands to major label  artists. Be sure to bookmark that site and to check it often! Lots of new goodies to look through, on an ongoing basis :) This past October 5th , I had the opportunity to photograph The Black Keys , on their second night, at the Crystal Ballroom . What an amazing show! Full house (sold out both nights) and great lighting on stage, as always. I was granted a photo pass while my friend Carrie has the press pass, with which she got to enjoy the show and then write about it on our affiliate web site: Melophobe .
